ATOLLA EARTH-BEETLE

PICO VELÁSQUEZ & BRIAN ARONOWITZ

A rare moment of serenity. Pulse, swimming in the darkness, endlessly twisting in their own beautiful and occasionally discomforting grace. This Atolla Beettle is part of the floating species series, a taxonomy investigation of symmetry, motion, and color inspired by insects, cephalopods (squids), cnidaria (jellyfish) and flowers. Designed as the recursive unfolding of a series of leaf-like tentacles and spines, and representative of a tech driven evolution - in the intersection of biology and computer design.
