New Google Headquarters Mountain View CA

A series of new headquarters for the Google Campuses are being designed in California. Questioning the conventional typologies of workspaces and pushing the limits of sustainable architecture are the combined criteria that drive this unique vision.  Its complex Canopy construction that spans aprox. 800 ft in each direction combined a refined coordination between our design intent, engineer consultants, and different data software to ensure the optimal discretization and performance of it. Subdividing it in four fold rotational symmetry  allowed optimized manufacturing by reducing the amount of .

unique panels and parameters. 13 panels were defined by one algorithm with different variables for the performance of each doubly curved surface in terms of  Drainage for Top of Roof surface, Tensile strength for Structural Tubenet arcs, Daylighting Lux levels for the interior work environment, and a Reduced Energy Consumption model. Many challenges were encountered for the perfect calibration of each surface to coordinate these opposite desires, which ultimately yielded in a successful model now under construction
